The 'War' Over Ontoglo Boy Continues

The 'Otonglo Boy'
We have been closely monitoring a silent stand off and feud that has engulfed the 'otonglo fame'. If not checked, this feud can turn out to be bigger than the honest otonglo narration. The question in the minds of many Kenyans is ' why the sudden fight on who to manage the boy?'.

There has been reported in fights between Larry Madowo of NTV, Clifford Ouma (The Author and Director of Otonglo) and Daniel Owira's Sister on who should be thr rightfulmanager of the sensational and upcoming talent. In a more recent burst into social media, Larry I'm still amazed at the story of Daniel Owira's rise and rise. When fame came calling, his sister Susan naturally stepped up to be the manager of his career. She assured me that she will keep him focused in school & has his best interests at heart when we last spoke on Thursday' .... a rather blurry indication that somehow, Daniel Owira's sister was the one
managing the affairs of his little brother.
Larry Madowo
Madowo has come out stating that '

And in a quick rejoinder, Clifford joined the convesration by indicating that:  ' Let this matter rest guys. I am content with what I have done to get the boy this far. Mimi sitaki vita mingi ndogondogo. I have better things to do such as thinking of my next script. Otonglo Time was my 23rd script, it won't be my last. Let the boy and his managers be!!!'.

Ealier on, some drama lovers who are close to Clifford Ouma appared united in condemming Larry  for hijacking the management of david's diary and telling Clifford to keep off the boy. Other drama gurus also accused NAIVAS supermarket for using the Otongolo Boy and even lines from the narrative without acknowledging the real authors and directors.

Clifford Ouma is the author, trainer and script writer of the Otongolo Narrative. Ealier reports indicated that he felt  sidelined in the success of the boy he trained, David Owira. It is reported that Clifford identified the form two boy at Highway Secondary in Nairobi; Authored, Directed and guided the Otonglo script and boy to fame. Clifford is not a teacher at Highway. he is a graduate of Marist university and a former student at Kisumu day High School. Clifford has participated in the drama festivals for many years.

In Cliff's Own words, He said that 'After having a long chat with my ELDERS in Art, my mother and my friends, I have decided to let this whole thing be. I have greater issues to deal with in my life like getting fees for my siblings, getting a job and furthering my Education. As my Elder Shitubi has put it "they can steal your idea but they won't steal your head", I will still write scripts tommorow and the days ahead. I thank God he used me to help Daniel Owira, I will use my theatrical skills to help more whenever I can. Thank you pals for the advices and help. Let it rest!!!'.

Decision Times Wishes to salute Clif for no only identifying raw talent but equally training the raw talent and turning the talent into an otonglo magnet. When life hands you a lemon, make a lemonade for the whole  world. This was a noble gesture that only life itself will reward in its fullness. Just keep the faith.
