Kisumu Governor Spends Ksh 72 Million To Purchase 12 Prados for County Executive Members

Kisumu-Kenya: Kisumu County is set to purchase 12 Prados worth Sh 72 million after the County assembly’s Budget and Appropriations Committee, approved the allocation on Thursday.

Another Sh15 million is to be set aside for the operational costs of the posh vehicles in the budget that was approved by the County Assembly.

Currently, Kisumu Governor, Jacktone Ranguma, uses a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado V8 that he inherited from former area Mayor Samuel Okello. 

The County assembly approved that by the end of the year, the Kisumu Governor should have a brand new Range Rover Sport for attending important functions in Nairobi.

The County Assembly also approved another Sh10 million to go to the renovation of the Governor’s residential house

Ranguma is living in a high-end hotel in Kisumu town, where a VIP room goes for Sh12, 000 per night.

The hotel belongs to former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s cousin and Gem MP, Jakoyo Midiwo.
