The MPS Salaries Deal: Take A look at What They Brokered

The salaries commission agreed on the following areas with the Parliamentary service Commission during a meeting mediated by deputy president William Ruto at his official Karen residence on Monday evening:

1. 532,000 salary (taxable)

2. Car grant 5 million

3. Mileage as follows

Taxable monthly mileage allowance at the rate of 109.80 per kilometer .. upto 750 km (to and fro.) for MPs travelling further extra 70% of applicable AA rate for extra kilometer.

4. Pension Benefits

The PSC also asked the commisison to take into account for future the salaries and benefits of the Leader of majority and minority. The commission will in future conduct a job evaluation exercise on the same but this is subject to discussions
