Jubilee Accuses IEBC of Forging Kethi Kilonzo's Documents

As reported by The Star. JUBILEE has accused the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission of conspiring with “undemocratic forces” to force in the candidature of Kethi Kilonzo in the Makueni Senate race.

Three Jubilee-affiliate parties have written to the IEBC tribunal giving it a “last chance” to uphold the law and cancel Kethi’s nomination as the Wiper party candidate. Jubilee believes Kethi's allies in IEBC forged her registration documents.

The complaint signed by TNA director of legal affairs Jasper Mbiuki, URP secretary general Fred Muteti and his Narc counterpart Fidelis Nguli says the coalition is “fully confident” on their stand.

They said they have details of “forgery, intimidation and breach of public oaths” that have taken place to ensure Kethi is cleared to vie.

“The candidature of Kethi Kilonzo is criminal. Powerful politicians with a vested interest in introducing into the Senate a "puppet" have compromised the electoral process,” the complaint read.

Kethi however told a vernacular radio station that she is aware of the TNA plot to block her out but that she will not be intimidated.

The coalition wants the IEBC to furnish it with details of Kethi’s nomination documents. The strongly-worded letter said Kethi ought to have declined to take part in perversion of the law.

“Unfortunately, it seems that even the short period of time she has spent in the company of foul politicians has been enough for her to acquire the worst attributes,” it read. They asked IEBC to bar Kethi and weed-out elements within the commission who allegedly helped to forge her registration.
