It's no Secret Mc Jessy had declared hi interest to run for a parliamentary seat in Meru County, and he affirmed on using Kiraitu Murungi's Bus party as the preferred vehicle. 

However, in a latest twist of things, Mc. Jessy suddenly popped up Karen wearing UDA's yellow Cap.

Why the sudden change of heart?

In his own words, Mc. Jessy indicated that the Deputy President (UDA's Presidential Flagbearer), William Samoei Ruto made that maiden call that made the comedian change his mind and alight from the bus party.

As the election date draws near, it is slowly becoming evident key OKOA Kenya Principals will never agree on who becomes their key flagbearer. The commitment the principals once had in the outfit is slowly but firmly fading away.

But unbelievably, their failure to produce a flag bearer would be a blessing in disguise. 

Why?

If each of the principals insist on being at the ballot, the sad reality first is that the Kenyan 2022 August Presidential Election would most probably stretch into a run-off. This is obvious, it would difficult for the two front runners; Raila and Ruto, to gain the required 50+1% threshold.

But importantly, the presence of all the OKA chiefs at the August ballot would help strengthen democracy in the country as each of their parties would without any doubt, get elected Members of the County Assembly (MCAs, and Governors), and Parliamnetary slots  (Senators, Mps and Women Representatives). This will hel avoid the dominance of either UDA or AZIMIO La Umoja.

Nicholas Bett Being Burried Today

The late ex-world champion Nicholas Bett, who died in a grisly road accident in Nandi , Rift Valley, is being laid to rest today, Thursday 16^th August 2018. 

In attendance in paying Bett the last respects are Kenya's Deputy President, Hon. William Ruto, and a host of other government officials and dignitaries.

Bett flew the Kenyan flag high, becoming the first Kenyan to win gold medal in a 400M hurdles race at a world stage.
