A 79 Year Old Grandmother Jumps Off An Aeroplane

What do you do after you’ve survived six strokes, beat cancer twice and suffered from osteoporosis, arthritis and diabetes? If you’re 79-year-old Carolyn Meiselbach, you go skydiving. Of course.

Meiselbach said she leaped into the upstate New York sky last month to settle some unfinished business.

“When I was young, I went through a 20-week parachute training course. But I was afraid to make the jump because there was no reserve chute,” she said.

The great-grandmother took the leap from more than 13,000 feet up despite three doctors advising against it. She sustained only one minor injury, a bruise on the chest from where her pacemaker mashed up against the parachute harness.

The jump, she said, was terrifying. The worst part was sitting on the floor of “the narrow, dinky plane which was not exactly a 747″ waiting for her turn to jump.

“I made the mistake of looking down,” she said.

But as soon as the handsome instructor pried her hands from the plane’s door and led her out into the air, she said it wasn’t so bad. She concentrated on keeping her mouth closed so she wouldn’t lose her teeth or look weird in the pictures.

Meiselbach is a 24-year resident of Carroll Gardens, one of the hippest neighborhoods in Brooklyn, N.Y. She served six years in the U.S. Navy and raised two sons as a single mom. Considering all she’s been through, she said getting pushed out of a plane was a piece of cake.

Man Charged With Murder of Wife Who Infact Is a Live and Very Well

Mombasa, Kenya: A port clerk was charged and detained in remand for months over the murder of his wife and daughter who were in fact alive and well.

Henry Onyango Agunda, then a clerk of the Kenya Ports Authority (KPA), was dragged out of his house in Changamwe on suspicion of murdering his wife Margaret Akinyi and daughter Rhoda Nyanje on December 5, 2010.

He was detained at the local police station for about 10 days after which he was charged before Justice Maureen Odero who remanded him at Shimo la Tewa Prison to await his trial.

But when he appeared in court in March 2011 for the mention of his double murder case, he was surprised to see his wife and daughter in the public gallery.

The wife the KPA clerk is alleged to have killed raised her hand in court to inform the judge that there was a bad mistake but she did not catch the eye of Justice Odero.

Instead, Agunda was sent back to remand where he remained until April 21, 2011 when the state realised the police had duped the prosecution and terminated the murder charges.

Now the stonemason has sued the state demanding Sh15 million as compensation for wrongful confinement.

The state is yet to reply to an affidavit seeking declaration that he was wrongfully brought before the court and his reputation ruined due to a meticulous conspiracy hatched allegedly by his mother in law Mary Nyanguka and police in Changamwe.

I needa solution, it all seems like my world is crashing right before me. I'm a lady of 28 and I'm in a relationship of about 2 years now.

I work with an insurance company and life has been good until my boyfriend lost his job roughly 10 months ago. And everything changed. I have been catering for him and myself as well since then.

He continually nags about not having a job despite his applications for a new one. And to be very honest this whole situation sucks life out of me.

So I decided to meet my boss at the office and I asked if he could help in any way. He accepted but requested sex with me and because I felt fed up with my boyfriend's situation, I gave in to sleep with my boss but we had an agreement that it will be a one time stuff. I was desperate and was willing to sacrifice for my boyfriend.

Weeks later my boyfriend got the job and according to the company policy, employees must have a 3 months training before confirmation.

This situation led to my boyfriends being trained at my branch of the company, which is also where my boss that gave him the job works.

Just less than 6 weeks my boss couldn't let me stay for a day without further request for sex and in the process my boyfriend found out the whole thing. He quit the job instantly and left town without a word. Doesn't take my calls to hear my side of the whole thing.
