Standard Sports News Photographer Threatened Over Jamal's Photo

As reported by Capital FM. Award winning sports photographer, Stafford Ondego, has received threats on his mobile phone following the picture that appeared in Friday’s edition of the local daily.

“Just responding to threatening calls am receiving; Am not responsible for the Jamal photo in our paper. I take action pictures in the stadium during matches and that’s all!” Ondego who has won the Kenyan Premier League photographer of the year thrice posted on his Face Book wall.

KU Student Shaves GirlFriend and Smashes Her Phone

A crazed Kenyatta University student allegedly attacked his girlfriend after he learnt that she was seeing another man. The Nairobian reported.

The student tore clothes off his girlfriend, crushed her mobile phone and shaved her clean with a pair of scissors.

According to Campus Vibe correspondent, when he learnt that his girlfriend was cheating on him, the student from the school of humanities and social sciences, supposedly went to her room and tore some of her best outfits.

The fun, mind blowing, blood pumping, Adrenaline rush, that was the kind of atmosphere yesternight at Annex inside KU. It was the Freshas night for the May First years student intake. Behind the wheels was DJ Hassan of Homeboyz radio but something bad happened in the midst of all the fun. 

Two people lost their lives, a police officer was beaten up by angry KU students till he lost his life and has been pronounced dead. The cause of all this was the fact that he did not co-operate with "Vinnie" a KU student who was the bouncer at the Fresha's night in producing his ID, which was a requirement for everyone to be allowed inside.

Nelson Mandela Back In Hospital

South African News: Former South African President Nelson Mandela, 94, was readmitted to hospital on Saturday with a renewed lung infection and is in “serious but stable” condition, the presidency said.

 

“This morning at about 1:30 am (2330 GMT Friday) his condition deteriorated and he was transferred to a Pretoria hospital. He remains in a serious but stable condition,”

Kenyan ICC Victims Pull Out Of The Hague Based Court Proceedings

As Reported by Capital FM. Three months before Kenya’s deputy president is due to go on trial at the International Criminal Court in The Hague, 93 victims of violence that followed a disputed election in late 2007 have pulled out of the proceedings.

In a letter dated June 5, the 93 victims informed the court that they did not support the prosecution of Kenya’s newly elected president, Uhuru Kenyatta, and his deputy William Ruto, both of whom stand accused of orchestrating the bloodshed.
